Honesty in stories. Truth in words.

NaNoWriMo 2015

I am very excited for November! Well, excited might not be the right word…maybe scared out of my wits is better? ;)

I have decided to participate in NaNo this year. I’ve never done it before, and I didn’t even know about it until July.

For those of you who don’t know what NaNoWriMo is (National Novel Writing Month), it is a program where everyone participating has a goal of writing 50,000 words on ONE story in ONE month. That’s about 1,667 words a day. At the end of the month, I’ll have an almost completed novel…at least, that’s the theory.

Though I’d like to work on another book, I really need to finish Clara’s Story (working title) that I talked about back here. I don’t feel ready at all, and since this is my first time trying NaNo, I don’t know exactly what I should do to prepare. So I’m jumping in head first and hoping to stay afloat! :)

With NaNo and school and music and everything else that worms it’s way into my days, I’m going to fall back to just once a week posts.

Are any of you doing NaNo? Or have you done it in the past?

  1. No, I can’t say that I have ever done it. I’ve thought about it several times, but each time I can’t do it. November is usually a very busy month for me anyway and there is no way I’d be able to add NaNo in too. I think I write fast enough anyway without trying to add another book. :)
But I hope you enjoy it! Let us know how things go. When you have time to breath again. :)
