Honesty in stories. Truth in words.

Life Sometimes

The past two weeks have been rather interesting. I hate using the excuse, “I’ve been busy” or “life is so crazy.” Because truly, my life is nothing compared to a lot of other people.

But it feels busy to me. It feels insane. It feels like I’m barely staying afloat half the time.

So what to do???

I don’t know. I have no idea. Wish I did.

But really, wouldn’t it be great to go back to being a kid just for one day? Think about it. No deadlines. No school. No laundry. No deadlines. No cleaning. No work. No deadlines. No jobs. No life-altering decisions. NOOOOO DEADLINESSSSSSS.

(I’m really hating deadlines right now.)

Some days I feel on top of the world. Other days, I eat an entire package of Oreos. By myself. *hides face*

Then there are the days when I play this song over and over and over and over again:

(Isn’t it relaxing? I loves this song so much.)

All that to say, I don’t have a decent blog post this week. (shocker, I know.) I wanted to, but that just didn’t happen. So instead, I delved into my Pinterest boards and found things that make me laugh.

Soooo….how is your week going?? Any Oreo-induced stomachaches yet??? *points to self*

  1. Oh, Ivy, I know the feeling! Been there too many times. Life gets crazy. I don’t usually resort to eating Oreos, but . . . ;) When I really feel stressed I have to make myself re-evaluate all the things I’m trying to get done and put aside the ones that are least important. (I didn’t say they weren’t important!) I’ve had to learn to say NO!
And deadlines?!?! Ugh! I’ve always hated deadlines. Don’t work well with them. My family can’t live with me when/if I have a deadline. :P

If you decide to give Oreos a try, just make sure to hide the package. Believe me. It’s better that way. ;)

Yes! I am also learning to prioritize and do what is best, not necessarily what is good. It’s tough!!

I actually like deadlines, but sometimes I screw myself and wait too long to do the thing and end up with a stomach full of Oreos. ;)

  2. (*agrees with all of this*) Between school and work, I feel like I have absolutely no time to write. I’m definitely looking forward to summer!

Best wishes to you! Especially on deadlines. Those are the worst! (*sends you a hug and virtual chocolate*)

I LOVE that song! And the ‘aim, fire, reload’ picture made me laugh. But that last one… oh dear. Yes. All the time. I’m trying to get my sleep, I really am, but… *winces*

Isn’t it awesome? Someone sent it to me and now I love it so much. :) And yes…I love that meme. One of my favorites. ;) And yeah…the last one!!! We writers are so hard on our bodies!!!

I love ‘Breathe’ too! And don’t worry, I’ve eaten plenty of Oreo packages all by myself as well. ;)

  5. Hey, there! I agree with all of this. :P I just had one of those days where I’m like, “I don’t want to adult anymore.” And your pics from Pinterest are SOO accurate.

Oh my word, you listen to that song to?! I love that song! <3

I look forward to getting to know you better. :)

    • Ivy says:

Yeah, I’m ready to be done adulting. For a few days at least. :) Aren’t the pics funny? I love them.

Well apparently “Breathe” is a very popular song! I just learned about it last week, but yes, I do listen to it. A lot. ;)

Me too! Thanks for stopping by!!

I love Oreos! But I hardly ever get them. Mostly when Grampa and Gramma come down here for the summer. And by the way, unless by ‘kids’ you mean babies, even they have all that you listed. :P I am still a kid (16) and i have every one of those. :-P :-P LOL

I’m thinking back to when I was around 5. That is when I remember ultimate kidtime. Awesomeness. I want to be 5 again. ;)
