Change of Plans

Plans have changed regarding the release date for The Old River Road. I got myself into a colossal pickle and lost a month somewhere between January and March (don’t ask how), and considering that I hadn’t contacted my cover designer or editor or beta-readers, nevermind the fact that I haven’t finished editing it myself yet, I changed the release date.

Don’t panic, I didn’t move it by 4 months though I would have liked to.

The new release date is July 8th.

And guess what? July 8th is also my 18th birthday. Isn’t it kinda cool to have my very first book released on my birthday? (I think so.)

Oh, having the release date on your birthday will be so much fun! that is a great idea!
And I think it’s awesome that your birthday is in July! I”ll be 18 on July 1st, so in my opinion July birthdays are the best. ;)

Yay! I’m glad you think so. I’m excited. :)

Your birthday is July 1st? That’s so awesome! And yeah, I totally agree that July birthdays are the best. :)

I think it was probably a wise decision for you to push it back a little. And doing it on your 18th birthday sounds like a great idea! I know it will be worth the wait for everyone involved :) I turn 18 on August 15th, so I don’t share the July birthday mania, but it is nice to have something to perk up my dislike of summers :)

I sure hope so! Hey…August is a nice month, too. :) YOU DON’T LIKE SUMMER?!?!?!?! We need to have a talk. (Well, I can’t say much because I’ve never experienced a Texan summer. Washington summers are nice. ) :)

I know all about those things that just happen to push your publishing date back. But I agree that a birthday release date sound like such fun! I’ll look forward to it. Maybe I won’t be quite so busy as the conference season will be over then.
